Mark your calendars for February 28th! You'll fall in love with the Sugar Rush Kits from Studio Calico. Here's a peek at a few of my Project Life designs, including the digital template I designed as well. See you at reveal!
New year, new Project Life format! It's time to change things up. Start fresh. Challenge myself. I've been using the 12x12 page protectors for the past two years with zero complaints, but started to feel a bit restless. I've made the switch to the Studio Calico Handbook system, a 6x8 size. I am LOVING it so far.
My goal for 2014 is to focus on specific moments versus daily documentation. The smaller format helps me from feeling behind and makes me feel more free to be creative. I look at this album as a marriage of my Project Life and scrapbooking design styles, so I'll be getting a bit funkier here. EMBRACE THE FUNKY.
In the image of my title page above, you can see I've already started to play with the page protectors. I added an extra protector with washi tape that allows for a fold out. I think I'll be doing this experimentation a lot–it's fun!
Here's a breakdown of what I'm using:
HANDBOOK ALBUM | For 2014 I nabbed a Handbook album in Linen. It is gorgeous in person. I'm crazy about the neutral color and it has a really nice texture.
HANDBOOK PAGE PROTECTORS | Studio Calico currently has four styles of 6x8 page protectors and I have several packs of each design stored in the back of my album. Look for their new designs coming soon. They will accomodate square images. Yay!
PROJECT LIFE KIT | I'm on the Studio Calico Creative Team and will be using their monthly Project Life Kits. Each kit comes with enough 4x6 and 3x4 cards for the month, plus the coolest embellishments and stamp designs out there. You can purchase a main kit and Add-On kits monthly or subscribe for added perks and special offers.
I used the digital star cuts I designed for Studio Calico for January to create this see-thru page. Love including little suprises like this. I used my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to add the cuts and sequins. Literally cannot scrap without it.
