Reason No. 4567 why my Mom is awesome.
After a bit of a hunt, I finally found simple, classic Easter baskets for the girls this weekend. I immediately wanted to dig out this ribbon that had been on my Easter basket since I was a baby.
The amount of stuff my Mom managed to save for us is pretty impressive, considering we moved eight times before I graduated from high school. My kids have things like my old baby blankets, sweaters and books. I'm guessing some Cabbage Patch Kids will make an appearance soon. (Don't want my grandmother's near-death experience in a toy stampede for Christmas of '82 to go to waste.)
I truly cherish it all and I'm trying to be good about saving, but I also don't want to go overboard. I've really struggled with editing the clothes, especially the newborn stuff. It was such a precious time and the teeny tiny stuff is so darn cute.
Are you saving mementos for your kids? How are you storing them?
