If you follow the progress on my album, then you know I like to play with different looks every week; I can't help it. This week: Bright and bold! This was a fun one. Keep an eye out for a free download and video tutorial at the bottom of this post. Here we go...(Click on images to enlarge.)
I played around with black and white patterns with pops of neon pink and yellow. I added swashes of color in Photoshop using the paintbrush tool with the opacity knocked down a tad to see through it.
All of the type is Bebas Neue, a sans serif classic. You can download it for free here.
This was my fortune from Friday night's dinner. I'll take it! Chevron paper from Amy Tangerine's Sketchbook colection.
I liked the image of the water noodles as a vertical so I printed it out at 6x8 and divided it up to fit the pockets. I grabbed the photo of my nieces from my sister's Facebook page. (With her permission!) I want to try to include more photos from other people from time to time like this. All part of our story!
I made these silhouette cards to add a pop of color. Totally in love with them! I thought including the Queen's Diamond Jubilee would be a nice world event marker for future generations that may look at this album.
This picture of Maggie. I mean really. I took a bunch of shots of the girls playing with water guns at Walmart and it wasn't until I got home when I saw this face. The personality on this one, look out! I had to showcase it. This is an 8x8 page protector.
The "This Is Life" sticker is from the Project Life Clementine Core Kit and the striped paper is from Lori Whitlock.
On the backside of the 8x8 protector I used some notes from Jim. Almost since they were born, he writes a paragraph for the girls every day. Notes on what we're doing, what they're saying, etc. Pretty awesome.
