Even if you're not a superfan of New Order like me, you've most likely danced to Bizarre Love Triangle at some point in your life, right? The band's album covers have become design classics thanks to renowned art director Peter Saville. (I had the coolest True Faith poster in my college dorm room way back when and really wish I held on to it.) Most of these designs utilized simple, classic typography that are available to use for free:
Closer (Joy Division) is in Trajan. Ceremony is in Albertus. Total is in Helvetica Heavy Italic. Substance is in Bodoni. Long live New Wave!
