Warning: Big post ahead! I'm combining two weeks after getting behind with a trip and dwindling naps. (Say it ain't so!) Here we go...(Click on images to enlarge.)
WEEK TWENTY | The highlight of this week was a solo trip with the girls to my parents' beach house. The weather was amazing and nothing beats a change of scenery when you're dealing with toddlers.
In Photoshop, I made little caption strips for some images and added date and time stamps on others. I also used Take Note Cubicle paper from Studio Calico. Really love these designs.
I pulled the image of The Fresh Beat Band from the web. M&C absolutely love the show and we just bought tickets to their concert. On the girls' birthday too! I know those songs so well, I could audition to be the fifth member of the band. Help!
My sister brought her kids to the beach and this was really the first time M&C were mature enough to really play with their cousins. Christy and I watched them as they ran around the yard and giggled. How did we go from playing with Barbies to having this pack of our own kids? Amazing.
WEEK TWENTY-ONE | Memorial Day weekend kicked off summer and ushered in a new era at our house: Big girl beds!
I love how every week tends to define its own color scheme. This week: Yellows and greens.
I loved this photo of the girls playing in the sprinkler so much, I just had to blow it up. It's fun to mix it up. The image of the flowers is from a magazine. Another, "why not?"
I included a 5.5 x 8.5 page protector to tell the story of Charlotte's choking scare last weekend when we had an ambulance come to the house. It was such a major parenting moment, I thought it needed to be well documented. Thank goodness it all ended well.
The image of the party garland on the grid journaling card is from a magazine as well. It was a perfect 3 inches wide! The yellow and white striped cards are actually colored index cards I found at Staples. The pack also includes blue, green, purple and pink stripes. Sweet!
This is the back side of the extra page protector. My camera shines taking photos outside, makes up for not so great indoor luck. I added a little text in Photoshop and washi tape from Freckled Fawn.
ALSO | I've said it before, but I'll say it again: The community of bloggers doing Project Life is the best. Such great feedback and sharing of ideas. I love how Shannon used my free transparent circle tags. She even added color!
P.S. I'm sharing this post on the Project Life link up at The Mom Creative.
