Design+My Favorite Subjects=Joy. Hello, Week Four!
This alphabet image is torn out of the latest Land of Nod catalog. They have the most adorable marketing. I added one of Amy Tangerine's fabric stickers. Love the sentiment.
Jim made a joke about how I was looking like a single mom in the album. Oops! No pictures, but I have been including him in the journaling. We're like ships in the night with our schedules during the week, so I suggested he take some self portraits. Eye roll. I guess that's a girl thing, huh? He ended up taking a ton of fun shots in the yard this week and I was thrilled. Such a good sport!
Cosmo Cricket has a great paper called Junk Drawer that's peppered with all kinds of these little typed sayings.
The ABC paper I used for my weekly dates is Step Right Up from Studio Calico's State Fair Collection, with an American Crafts Remarks sticker. I used a blue and red mini airmail label from my shop on the photo of our dog Chewie.
For the journaling, I took the top of one Clementine card and stapled it to another. The green journaling card is from a SMASH Pad.
When I was cropping the 3x4 photo of Jim I noticed the "You've Got a Giant" text on the wall at the grocery store. He's 6 foot 4. Yep. (That's a Friday Night Lights shirt he's wearing. We're big fans.)
I played with a little text on photos this week. (The font is Chunk Five.) For this image, I also added a white box in Photoshop for a little journaling space.
I love seeing what everyone in blogland is doing with this. If it ever seems overwhelming looking at everything out there, think inspiration--not stress. Take it one pocket at a time!
Speaking of inspiration, I love how Elise Blaha used one of my glitter letters in her Week 4 post. Love her style and thrilled she's embracing my designs.
