We had our first real snow of the season which made way for some fun "firsts" for Maggie and Charlotte this week. Since embracing this project, I've kicked myself for not documenting my girls like this from day one. But let's face it, there's no way I would've managed it in that exhausting first year. No way. I have thought about going back over old photos and doing a baby book version Project Life. Is that crazy?
I went heavy on photos this week. Just so many I loved. I added little caption strips here and there in Photoshop, but kept it simple since the images really speak for themselves.
I split a 12x6 image across the top. It's fun to play around with the shapes of the protector. (Yes, Maggie holding snow with her bare hands. My kids will not wear gloves. It drives me nuts.)
I added my dates with Thickers foam stickers by American Crafts on Bridesmaids paper by Crate Paper.
Major props to Jim for taking so many cute pictures. The shot of Maggie shoveling the ice cream in her mouth cracks me up.
I took a screen grab of one of my tweets from the weekend and added it to a transparency. Yet another Photobooth image. This is me putting off this post and getting sucked into the interwebs! I rallied.
I was excited to use my new 4x6 Flip Pockets to make extra space this week. They just peel and stick. Discovered them thanks to MaryAnn at Cherish Everyday. She is has zero rules when it comes to page protectors in her albums. Love that.
Project Life is a simplified scrapbooking system created by Becky Higgins to help document your memories. Check out the previous posts about my album, including free downloads here.
