Oh my, oh my. This is my Week One of Project Life that I had finished last Saturday and was going to share in a post the next day. Then a tummy bug hit my house with a vengeance. If you have kids, you know what a nightmare it is to have everyone down for the count! I'm finally feeling a little more like myself and happy to finally share.
The funny thing is, the week I had documented was already a bit of a hurdle since our family colds had taken a turn for the worse. (Hence the a photo of a Kleenex box!) Anyone else having sickness get in the way of kicking off this project? Darn germs.
The full spread for the week. (Click all of the images to enlarge. ) My kitchen wall color in the big photo of Maggie set the tone for the yellows I went with.
In terms of documenting the weekly dates, I'm going to play around. This week, I wrote it on a sticker; next week I may print it out or use a date stamp in the future. Loving how the cute SMASH Pad pages fit in here.
I had some fun on the bigger photos of my girls, adding little captions with Photoshop. For the "All By Myself" card, I printed out the type on scrap paper and stapled it to the top of a Project Life Journaling Card.
The biggest lesson learned in putting together my first official week was taking better notes. I kept mentally bookmarking things and then as I sat down to put things together, I went a little blank. I'm going to keep a draft of notes in my email and add to it.
Also, I've had some questions about how I print my photos. I print everything on my home printer, an HP Photosmart Plus and use Epson Premium Presentation Paper. This paper produces the most vibrant, true to your computer screen colors. I'm in love with it!
