What a week! The breaking world news of the bin Laden raid Sunday night kept me at work until 1:30 a.m., ripping up the next day's paper and designing new pages. Monday was a day off but I ended up back at my desk working on the day two coverage. I've been in the news business for fifteen years and I've seen only a handful of events of this importance. Very rewarding to be a part of recording history, though the events are bittersweet. You can see these pages here, here and here.
On top of my day job activities, I got it in my mind that I was going to enter the design contest for Project Life. A couple of nights of me at my computer in my pj's while the house was sleeping got the job done. Fingers crossed!

- Thank you to artist Chris Piascik for capturing my week in a nutshell with the cool print above.
- If you're a Mac user, you'll learn something new from these tips. (Thanks for the link, Ali Edwards.)
- This is cool. Spoonflower is a site where you can upload your own image to create your own fabric.
- Make Tiny Polaroid Magnets with Ambrosia Girl's tutorial. Would be a clever and personal Mother's Day gift.
- Blogs that are new to me and I'm giving two thumbs up: A Little Sussy, Anne Strawberry and Eating for England.
- The craziest trend I'm seeing all over the interwebs is stacked cupcakes in push-pop containers. Here's the Google images search. Hot on their trail are Rice Krispie wedding cakes! Funny how this stuff takes off.
Happy Friday!
