I just discovered my new favorite thing to wrap with: A photo organizer. Same cost (or less) as most gift bags and way more useful. Everyone has stuff to store! Most of them come with a label holder you can personalize which I love. I just flipped the lid to nest on the bottom of the box.
I got this reusable Hello Kitty bag at one of my favorite places to raid for wrapping goodies: The Target $1 area. They always have great containers and things you can dress up.
If you've seen my About Me page, then you know that I love to wrap gifts. It runs in the family. With us, Christmas is like The Wrapping Olympics! Are you a fool for gift wrap? Have any great tips?
The July/August issue of House Beautiful has some really gorgeous feature stories and I'm particularly blown away by this California bungalow designed by Krista Ewart. The house is bold and bright with a real sense of being fun and alive. It seriously makes me want to throw all of my neutrals, tans, and blacks out the window and start all over again!
I love Krista's design philosophy: "My style of decorating is, 'I love this, I love that, let's put it all together and make it work.' " There is something liberating about her patterns and colors not matching perfectly, yet tying all together.
What makes this project even more special is that it's her sister's place. You can almost see the extra TLC. Very cool!
Krista was kind enough to share images from her portfolio with us as well. Equally as stunning. Enjoy!
