A few weeks ago, I ventured to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to meet up with my friends from Studio Calico for a retreat. I love this group of people, we had an amazing time. Upon arrival, we were given a Camp Calico kit made up of a Woodgrain Handbook, an assortment of custom stamps, embellishments and journaling cards. You should have heard the gushing–the SC designers knocked it out of the park.
I've never scrapped with friends before or made something on a trip. I'm completely converted. I loved hanging out and tinkering with my album while we laughed and talked shop. The SC crew brought a ton of crafting supplies, including a Canon Selphy photo printer. It zaps off 4x6 images wirelessly from your phone and I totally want one. This really helped pull everything together in an easy, breezy way. Now that I'm home, I'm thrilled I got the memories down while I was there. If I hadn't, I guarantee the kit would be sitting on my desk collecting dust right now.
For the nitty gritty details on the trip, stay tuned to the Studio Calico blog next week for the full recap. Until then, here are some pages from my album if you'd like to take a peek.
Oh, I miss my SC peeps! We've yet to do a big photo share, so I definitely plan on adding to this a bit more. My favorite supplies were the Gold Brilliance Ink pad and the copper sequins. You'll also see a few added bits and pieces that were a gift from the awesome Robyn Werlich and a card here where I tried Copic Markers for the first time while watching Suzy Plantamura's brilliance in person. Magic pens!
Do you ever craft with friends? Have you ever scrapped on a trip? What do you take with you?
