My last post...

Goodbyecard

With a heavy heart, I've decided to stop Design Editor. With the upcoming birth of my twins and my full time job-it just makes sense. I hope to pick up again when things settle down one day!

Thanks to all of my readers and friends in blog world-it's been a blast!

P.S. Get this card from hellomonkey's shop on Etsy!

Big news!

Pram(1)

Long time no blog! I've been somewhat busy...I'm happy to share with you that I'm expecting twins in late summer! This is my first pregnancy so I've been nesting, planning and trying to keep the morning sickness at bay. Thank goodness for my amazing husband!

It's been fun thinking about the nursery and entering a whole new world of design. How much am I loving Serena & Lily?  May not be the most practical for me-needing two of everything and all. I'm also a fan of Land of Nod. Here's what Ive bookmarked from both sites:

Graham

Graham Collection for either gender.

Nod

Puzzle Patch bedding for a cottagey vibe.

Spring Kitchen!

Anyone else ready for Spring? This weekend was so nice here in Virginia-I so wish it would last. I found this House Beautiful article on a NY kitchen and it felt like a breath of fresh air.

Designer Dionne Trifiro incorporated three islands, varied cabinetry and a mix of textures like glass tiles, marble and stone. I love the bench in the background of the photo below-it serves as a mini mudroom. Enjoy!

Say it ain't so, Domino!

 Domino-magazine

Sad news gang, Domino magazine is ceasing publication. Sounds like the website will go away as well. I'm so bummed!

P.S. Sorry I've been M.I.A.-I'm working on a big project that I'll tell you about soon!

Fabulous wall murals!

Deco_details_walls

This photo (above) from the UK's Living Etc. magazine just relaxes me. Especially on a cold, drizzly winter day like today. The wall mural is by Surface View. They have the most amazing collection of photography and artwork (including National Gallery and V&A museums) to select from. Check it out!

Dream Home: I'd take it

Anyone catch the preview of the 2009 HGTV Dream Home last night? What did you think? Not some of my favorite decor this year, but I always enter to win. I think I could handle a second home in Sonoma, California.

What I didn't love: Black leather sofas in a Victorian inspired house-not my cup of tea, the moire fabric on the dining room chairs-very 80s to me.

What I did love: Floor to ceiling white curtains throughout most of the house, including doorways-really works. The paint color (Dovetail by Sherwin-Williams) in the kitchen paired with gray quartz counter tops-sleek.
